Engineering CAD Designer
This main purpose of this role is to ensure that designs are well-thought-out, efficient, and compliant, leading
to the realization of innovative solutions and the organization’s continued growth and success.
Key responsibilities:
1. Design Development: Use CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D engineering models, translating
conceptual designs into precise technical drawings for light gauge structures, and echo houses,
2. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, architects, project managers and construction managers to
understand project requirements, provide design insights, and ensure seamless coordination throughout the
design process.
3. Innovation: Contribute to the development of new design concepts and product improvements, leveraging
your creativity and engineering expertise.
4. Technical Documentation: Generate comprehensive technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications that
adhere to industry standards and regulations.
5. Design Optimization: Analyze designs for performance, functionality, and manufacturability, making
necessary adjustments to optimize the final product.
6. Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough design reviews to identify and resolve potential issues or
discrepancies.
7. Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project timelines, track progress,
and ensure timely completion of design milestones.
8. Cost-Effectiveness: by optimizing designs for efficiency and manufacturability and assist in reducing
project costs and improving the organization’s overall competitiveness.
9. Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest advancements in CAD design technologies,
materials, and construction methodologies to continually improve design processes.
10. Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and clients to understand project objectives
and deliverables.
11. Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and efficiency within the CAD department.
12. Participate in design reviews, offering insights and suggestions for design improvements.
13. Any other responsibilities that may be assigned to the job holder by the supervisor from time to time.
Requirements:
● Education: Diploma in Building and Construction, civil engineering, Architecture, or related field.
● Experience: 2 years of Proven experience with a strong portfolio showcasing your structural design
projects.
● Software Proficiency: Proficient in using CAD software such as Frame CAD, Autodesk Revit, Tekla
Structures, or similar tools.
● Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of structural engineering principles, building materials, and
construction methods.
● Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve design challenges
effectively.
● Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail to produce accurate and error-free FRAME designs.
● Collaborative Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
● Time Management: Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines and handle multiple tasks
simultaneously.

Is exposed to minimum disagreeable conditions in the environment. The jobholder has normal office
